Luthier – Custom Guitars hand built in New Brunswick, Canada
I started playing guitar at the age of 14, and almost immediately began modifying my guitars. From replacing tremolo systems, to upgrading pickups and even scalloping fret boards, I wasn’t afraid to try anything to improve my guitars, but more importantly, personalize them in a way that made them my instruments.
Over the next 15 years I developed my skills as a luthier, moving beyond set-ups and repairs and into the world of building guitars from the ground up. It was through this growth, and through my years of experience as a machinist, that I decided to move forward in pursuing my dreams; to become a full-time luthier with my own custom guitar business.
In 2019 I officially launched Meinzinger Guitars, and immediately began delivering top end guitars to local musicians and friends. I moved into a workshop of my own and began investing more into my tools and machinery. I continued to learn and grow, developing my own designs and unique style of lutherie.
Today I am offering the best instruments I can build to musicians, opting to use the best materials and hardware available. I am constantly working on new ideas to incorporate into new designs.

History
2017-2019
The First Builds – I built my first full guitar from scratch in 2017, followed by my second and third in 2018. By the time I finished my third build I was ready to start building for other people, so I built a 7 string for a close friend before entering the market and registering as a business in 2019.
2020-2022
First Workshop & Full-Time Hours – I left my previous career as a Machinist in 2020 in the early days of Covid. I was lucky enough to find a workshop in Hamilton Ontario, where I spent countless hours from 2020-2022 honing my craft.
2022-2024
The Big Move – At the end of 2022, my wife and I embarked on a new journey that we had been dreaming about for years. We moved out of our apartment in Burlington Ontario, and into our first home in New Brunswick. The 600sqft. garage on the property needed a full restoration, which took all of 2023 to complete and included all new sheathing inside and out, structural repairs, a new metal roof, insulation, all new electrical, heat and AC, a spray room, all new workbenches, pegboards & shelving. Once the workshop was finished, I spent 2024 building a handful of guitars to get back into the swing of things while working out the kinks in the workspace.
2024- Present
With the workshop complete, I was able to open the custom order book again in late 2024. I am now building guitars full-time again, taking a mix of custom orders as well as building my own creations. From here, I plan on building on everything I have already been doing, honing my craft and challenging myself in new ways.
